【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidestermssuchasmegapascalsorpounds-forcepersquareinchofgasketsurfaceforexpressingtheextentofadhesionapplicabletoallmaterialswithinthescopeofClassificationSystemF104.Undercertainconditions,adhesiondevelopswhengasketmaterialsareconfinedinacompressedstatebetweenmetalflanges.Adhesionisimportantasanindexofeaseofremovalofagasketmaterial.Sinceothervariablesmayenterintotheperformanceinanapplication,theresultsobtainedshouldbecorrelatedwithfieldresults.Atypicalsetofconditionsisdescribedinthistestmethod.Thistestmethodmaybeusedasanacceptancetestwhenagreeduponbetweentheuserandtheproducer.1.1Thistestmethodprovidesameansofdeterminingthedegreetowhichgasketmaterialsundercompressiveloadadheretometalsurfaces.Thetestconditionsdescribedareindicativeofthosefrequentlyencounteredingasketapplications.Testconditionsmayalsobemodifiedinaccordancewiththeneedsofspecificapplicationsasagreeduponbetweentheuserandtheproducer.Themaximumtemperaturerecommendedforthistestmethodis205x00B0;C(400x00B0;F).1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
