【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesthesafetyrequirementsand/ormeasurestoremovethehazardsandlimittherisksonreciprocatinginternalcombustioncompressionignitionengineshereinafterreferredtoas'engines'ofgroupⅡcategories2and3foruseinpotentiallyexplosiveatmospheresofflammablegasandvapour.ThisEuropeanStandarddoesnotapplytoflammablegasandvapouratmospherescontainingcarbondisulphide(CS2).ThisEuropeanStandarddoesnotdefinerequirementsrelatingtothedrivenmachinery.Theserequirementscanbefoundintheappropriateapplicationstandards.ThisEuropeanstandarddoesnotapplytoenginesusedinpremisesfortheprocessingmanufactureorstorageofexplosives.ThesafetyrequirementsforenginesforuseinpotentiallyexplosiveatmospheresforundergroundapplicationsaregiveninEN1834-2:2000.ThesafetyrequirementsforenginesforusedinexplosiveatmosphereswithcombustibledustaregiveninEN1834-3:2000.ThisEuropeanStandarddoesnotapplytosparkignitionengines.Thehazardsapplicablearelistedinclause4andrelatetotheadditionalhazardsofoperationinanatmospherethatmaybecomeexplosive.Thetestswhichtheengineanditsancillaryfittingsarerequiredtoundergotoverifycompliancewiththisspecificationaredetailedinthisstandard.Generalsafetyrequirementsi.e.thosecommontoallRICengines,arecoveredinEN1679-1:1998.ThisEuropeanStandardisapplicabletoengineswhicharemanufacturedafterthedateofissueofthisstandard.
